Meet Our Leaders

• Pieter Human, Founder & CEO — Data and Solutions Architect, 25 years. Built Vito Solutions in 2013 and delivered for Sanlam, Shoprite Checkers, Deloitte, Heineken, Pepkor and Glacier. He sets the bar because he spent 25 years being the engineer on the other side of it.
• Annelie van Zyl, COO — Management consultant. She owns internal delivery once the engineer is embedded, across every engagement. When something wobbles, she is the call you make. Not a support queue.
• Vicky Steyn, Tech Team Builder — Global tech recruitment. She decides who clears the no-juniors bar and who does not. Nobody reaches your shortlist without her. That is what the promise rests on.

The Story Behind UnicornClub

Founded by Pieter Human, a data and solutions architect with 25 years of experience building large-scale data platforms inside regulated environments, especially financial services, fintech, media, and retail. In 2013, Pieter founded Vito Solutions, a South African data consultancy. Over time, a clear pattern emerged: US companies investing heavily in AI were struggling to move from pilots to production while exceptional senior engineers in South Africa had limited access to these opportunities. UnicornClub was created to connect those two realities.
